Our Mission

The Plastic CrisisOcean Conservation Banner

Every minute, the equivalent of a garbage truck's worth of plastic enters our oceans. But the numbers alone don't tell the real story.

Beneath the surface, ghost nets — abandoned fishing gear stretching for miles — drift silently through the deep, ensnaring sea turtles, dolphins, and whales in invisible traps they cannot escape. Microplastics have infiltrated the food chain so thoroughly that they've been found in the bloodstream of newborn babies and the stomachs of fish at the deepest points of the Mariana Trench. Coral reefs, the rainforests of the sea, are suffocating under layers of plastic debris, their colors fading as entire ecosystems collapse.

This is not a distant problem. It is happening right now, in every ocean, on every coastline — and the fashion industry is one of its leading contributors.

We refused to look away.

Our Premium Solution
WEAR THE BLUE Facebook Cover - Fixed Shirts

When we set out to build Wear The Blue, we made a decision that most brands won't: we chose to do this right, even when doing it right costs more.

Every garment in our collection is crafted from certified recycled ocean plastics and GOTS-certified organic cotton - materials that are rigorously verified, not just marketed. Our fabrics are sourced from supply chains we have personally audited. Our artisans are paid fair, living wages in ethical facilities where working conditions are transparent and humane.

The result is clothing that feels exceptional because it is exceptional — heavyweight, precisely constructed, built to last a decade rather than a season. At $150 per piece, you are not paying a premium for a logo. You are paying for materials that took real effort to reclaim from the ocean, for craftsmanship that respects the hands that made it, and for a standard of quality that fast fashion will never match.

We believe the most sustainable garment is the one you never need to replace.

The 10% Ocean Pledge

We want to be completely transparent with you, because trust is not given — it is earned.

10% of net profits — a direct share of what we earn — goes to verified ocean conservation organizations. These are partners we have vetted for accountability and impact: funding active beach cleanups, supporting ghost net retrieval operations, and protecting critical marine habitats.

We publish our giving reports. You can see exactly where your contribution goes, which organizations received it, and what it funded. No vague promises. No greenwashing. Just a direct, traceable line between your purchase and the ocean it helps protect.

When you wear Wear The Blue, you are not just wearing a garment. You are part of something that is actively fighting back.

The ocean gave us life. It's time we returned the favor.

📊 Our Transparency & Giving Commitment

"Because we are a growing brand, we believe trust is earned through complete openness. Here is how we turn our 10% profit pledge into real-world impact:

  • Automated Tracking: Every order is logged in our system alongside its net profit margin to calculate the exact 10% contribution.
  • Quarterly Giving Reports: We pool these funds and donate them to verified marine conservation organizations at the end of every quarter.
  • Public Receipts: Our very first official donation receipt will be published directly on this page by the end of this quarter, or as soon as our first batch of orders is completed. No vague promises, just traceable impact."

🤝 Our Environmental Partners
"Wear The Blue is proud to operate under the rigorous transparency standards of 1% for the Planet. We are currently finalizing our official small business partnership track with Surfrider Foundation and Ocean Conservancy to ensure every dollar of our 10% net profit pledge is audited and directly funds verified marine conservation initiatives. Public impact reports and donation receipts will be updated every 6 months, or sooner depending on our business volume."
